COUNCIL COLUMN Lithgow CITY COUNCIL WORKS UPDATE Upcoming Works Portland Sunny Corner Road: Roadworks to commence 16 March Lithgow City Council has appointed a contractor to undertake road works on Portland Sunny Corner Road, between the intersections with Falnash Street and Sunny Corner Road. Motorists should note that sections of Portland Sunny Corner Road will be impacted via traffic control that will be in effect between 7:00am and 5:00pm from 16 March to Mid-April 2026 (weather permitting). Residents / Businesses are asked to keep these changes in mind when travelling within the area and allow additional travel time or alternative travel routes if necessary. This great exhibition featured memories from locals on their experiences of gathering wild food, and growing up in the Lithgow LGA. The memories have turned into storyboards with images and newspaper excerts showcasing the Food History of the Seven Valleys. Pop into the Lithgow Library during regular opening hours and have a look. The stories will be on display at the Lithgow Library up until Easter. Give to Gain Art Exhibition at Eskbank House An exhibition of artworks by local women who have volunteered or worked at Eskbank House Museum. This is a celebration of women, art and volunteering. Eskbank House Museum is open Wednesday to Sun- day 10am to 4pm Museum entry fees apply for exhibition $5.50 and $2.50 concession and pre-booked groups per person Lithgow Animal Shelter Lithgow Animal Shelter has a number of adorable cats and dogs currently available for adoption.
