Council will collect garden prunings, no longer than 2 metres and no thicker than 200mm, tied in bundles. A weight limit of 16 kilograms for each bundle or box applies. A maximum of one cubic metre, which is equivalent to about 4 wheelie bins, is allowed per premises. *Please note grass clippings are no longer accepted as grass clippings in bags reduce options for beneficial re- use of green waste. The service is only available to residents with a kerbside bin collection. Registration is required. Registrations close at 12 noon, Thursday 5 March 2026. Registration can be completed by contacting Council's Customer Service Office on 6354 9999 or filling in the online form on Council's website at https://council. lithgow.com/waste recycling/waste-greenwaste/ Remember to place your green waste on the kerb, where your bins are usually placed, on the Sunday before the collection day.
