Next Ordinary Monday 28th October at 6pm In the Council Chambers Council Meeting Mort Street, Lithgow Road Works Works Update Maintenance Grading has been completed on Blackheath Creek Road, Old Bindo Road, Jerrys Meadow Road and Anarel Road. Grading was completed early this week on Biddys Pinch Road, Hampton. Grading is continuing on Genowlan Road and Glen Alice Road in the Capertee Valley. Rehabilitation works Members of the community wishing to address the Council meeting are required to register by midday on the day of the meeting. Copies Community Update Annual Household Chemical Cleanout Glen Alice Road: Repair work is continuing on Glen Clean out your household chemicals the right Alice Road. Pipers Flat Road: Patching was completed this week with sealing commencing the week starting Monday 14th October which will include John Mackey Drive. Tarana and Sodwalls Road: Last week work was undertaken on sections of road in Tarana township and Sodwalls Road near Honeysuckle Falls Road. Sunny Corner Road, Portland: Patching and repair work have been completed, sealing of the road took place between the Great Western Highway and the LGA boundary this week. The following roads will be closed to all but residents Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am to 4pm. Martins Road, Rydal: Drainage lines have been completed and resheeting and reseal from Magpie Hollow Road to Hampton Road is continuing. The works are expected to be completed in two weeks. Blackmans Creek Road, Hartley: Works will commence on Monday 14th October to fully resheet and reseal the road from the Great Western Highway to the turning circle. All works are weather dependent and may be subject to change. Scan here to keep up to date with all key projects Parks and Recreation Sporting fields Council's recreation team has been working to ensure that sporting grounds around the LGA are in top condition ahead of the upcoming sporting seasons. Field preparation and linemarking for touch football begin Monday 14th October while Turf wicket and field preparations have been undertaken ahead of the start of the cricket season this weekend. Council are also undertaking ongoing course maintance at the Lithgow Golf Club with greens renovations scheduled for the 21st October. Parks and Playgrounds Seating and top dressing has been completed at the new playgrounds in Stewart Street and Zig Zag Oval. Councilis currently ugrading and replacing aging play equiptment throughout the LGA as part of the Parks Improvement Program. Spring garden maintenance is being undertaken at Queen Elizabeth Park to ensure that the park and gardens are in good shape when the roses bloom. Contact Details Administration Office way! Heather's favourite medium is working with acrylics, but she also enjoys dabbling in different mediums. Not only is Heather known for her paintings, but she also turns old tools into artworks which she then sells on her market stall. The Legislative Assembly met for the first time in August 1824 and the infamous declaration of Martial Law was proclaimed in August 1824. This exhibition will feature the objects and framed works held by Eskbank House Museum with connections to our local pioneers from this colonial time period and look at some initial and continuing local participation in political activities over time.
