Next Ordinary Council Meeting Road Works Tuesday 8th October at 6pm in the Council Chambers 180 Mont Street, Lithgow Works Update Browns Gap Road: The Council is continuing to monitor Browns Gap Road with the area showing good stability at this point. The Council is currently planning to undertake works to rectify damage caused by slope movements to the stormwater pipelines. The current traffic arrangements remain in place. Sunny Corner Road, Meadow Flat: Members of the community wishing to address the Council meeting are required to register by midday on the day of the meeting. Community Update Lithgo $750 Sewer Reflux Rebate Scheme now open Scan code for details COUNCIL COLUMN This project involves the rehabilitation of sections of the road that have failed, repair road edges and clear the $750 Sewer Reflux Rebate Scheme now open drains at the side of the road. Once the initial civil works have been completed the road will be resealed in the following weeks. High Street, Portland: The road between Willewa Street and Roxburgh Street will be completely rehabilitated and stabilised over the next 3 weeks. Once the stabilisation works are complete the road will be resealed. There will be road closures on adjacent roads during work hours for this period. residents are asked to not park on the road shoulders between 7.30 and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Geordie Street Crossing Between Friday, 30th August, 6:00am Monday, 2nd September, 6:00am This closure is required by Sydney Trains who will be conducting essential upgrades to the signaling systems which will include the excavation of the road at the Geordie Street crossing. Detour: From Great Western Highway & Cooerwull Road intersection via Main Street, Mort Street, and Bridge Street There will be access to the Great Western Highway from Cooerwull Road, but there may be delays as works occur. Council Road Works Near Geordie Street Rail Crossing In Addition to the level crossing closure, Lithgow Council will also be conducting road resealing works at this location around the same time between Monday 2nd September and Wednesday 4th September, 7am to 5pm. This work will occur alongside, but separate to, those organised by Sydney Trains. Council's resealing works will be during the day, Traffic control will be in place for the Council sealing works which may result in minor delays, but this road will be open to traffic for the period. Other works: Other works in Kremer Crescent, Wallerawang and Hill Street Lithgow will be starting in the week starting the 2nd September and should be completed by the 13th September, weather permitting.
