The works will include replacement of the shed structure and upgrade of the unloading area. The Meadow Flat transfer station will remain open as usual during the upgrade; however, there will be some changes to the skip bin. A temporary skip bin will be located on the site, away from the works. A small-sided skip bin will be used so that the unloading height will remain the same as the existing setup. It is estimated that the upgrade will take 3 months to complete, weather permitting. The upgrades will provide a more user-friendly facility for the community and combined with the recent installation of CCTV, will assist Council to monitor the sites to reduce the occurrence of illegal dumping providing a better service for residents.
