Recognised as a High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) Partner School after ranking first in the region for student growth in HSC and NAPLAN, Lithgow High School has secured funding of up to $10 million to strengthen programs and significantly upgrade facilities. Stage One of these upgrades has already commenced, delivering modern, future-focused learning environments that support excellence in STEM, performing arts and enrichment. High potential is nurtured across intellectual, socio-emotional, creative, and physical domains through targeted extension, a dedicated Gifted and Talented Enrichment stream and a diverse range of electives including Engineering Studies, CASA Certified Drone Piloting, and Outdoor Recreation. Our innovative ISTE(A)M program continues to provide integrated, real-world learning experiences that prepare students for emerging industries. This year marks the launch of our Elite Lithgow Athletes Program (ELAP). In its first year, ELAP provides specialised strength and conditioning training, education in performance, nutrition and recovery, and mentoring in leadership, time management and goal setting. The program builds confidence, discipline and clear pathways into sport, health and fitness careers while maintaining strong academic expectations. We are also proud of our innovative FutureSkills Fast-Tracked HSC program, with our first graduates completing the program last year. Our FutureSkills program allows students to complete a non-ATAR HSC by the end of Year 11 while undertaking schoolbased traineeships or apprenticeships through strong local industry partnerships. Students graduate with a fully accredited HSC and industry-recognised skills, creating direct pathways into employment, apprenticeships, or further vocational study. With recognised academic growth, transformational investment, and innovative pathways, Lithgow High School continues to build momentum as the school of choice and is committed to shaping confident, capable young people ready for the future. 1A Pau Street PO Box 296 Lithgow NSW 2790 P: (02) 6352 1422 F: (02) 6353 1081 E: Lithgow-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au PERARDUA LH S AD ASTRA Lithgow HIGH SCHOOL In pursuit of excellence for all Our School Leaders with Dr Foty Loupos - Principal Captains and Prefects Front : School Captains - Jane Doran , Aleese Thompson , Dr Foty Loupos - Principal , Joshua Van Praag , Laken Crook Middle : Prefects - Marcelle Pearce , Jacob Silinis , Ryan Hodges , Kelsie Handley and Leadership Co - ordinator Ms Marlin Top : Prefects - Cameron Riley , Paige Lowry , Keeley Collins and Javee Barretto Lithgow High School proudly continues to build on a strong tradition of academic , cultural and vocational achievement while embracing a bold and exciting future .
